We had a fantastic day at UW-Stevens Point for State Solo-Ensemble yesterday! We took 36 vocal events (involving more than 40 students), and it was truly incredible watching them all show their hard work and best vocal ability. In total, we had 30 events receive a "1" rating, which is the highest rating at State Competition. Congratulations MHS singers!

These past two days have been very busy in the Marshfield Music Department! We welcomed all of the 4th and 5th grade students from the district to hear our Choir, Band, and Orchestra perform. Then they were able to try out the instruments in all places and do some singing and beat-boxing in the choir room. Thanks to all of the high school students for making it such a memorable event!

Congratulations to share!

Last week, Concert Choir performed at the Abbotsford High School Choral Festival. Three judges listened to our performance of Class A (the most difficult) level music and we received "1" ratings from all 3. They spoke highly of the skill, emotion, and presentation of the performance - congratulations Concert Choir!

Also - we had a group of 20 singers join the MHS Orchestra Spring Concert last night to perform a few pieces with them. This group put together difficult music (Mahler!) in a short amount of time, and worked extremely hard to make a great performance. Thank you singers!
