We are responsible for snow and ice, road maintenance, waste water treatment, water quality and distribution, solid waste and town grounds/trees The Department of Public Works proudly supports the Town of Marshfield and is responsible for: engineering design, construction, maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, sewer, water and storm drainage systems, surveying and mapping, maintenance and

repair of vehicles and equipment, maintenance of parks, cemeteries, athletic fields, beaches, public buildings and off-street parking facilities, public refuse collection and disposal, recycling, snow plowing and ice control, administration of construction contracts, review of subdivision projects, inspection of construction projects, and the operation of the water and sewer treatment plants. For emergency assistance during posted hours of operation, please contact the DPW divisions directly. For emergencies after posted hours of operation, and on weekends and holidays, please contact the Police Department Dispatcher at (781) 834-6655.

UPDATE:
The repair is complete and water pressure has been restored

The Water Department is making a repair on Chandler Drive currently. Residents may notice decreased water pressure while the repair is being made.
As always, run your cold water if there is any discoloration once pressure is restored.

Please make sure cars are not parked overnight in the parking spots on both sides of the esplanade.

Today, Friday May 15th, we will be preparing the Ridge Road Boat Ramp for next week’s paving. Wednesday May 20th, the ramp will be closed for the day while the paving is completed (of course, subject to change based on the weather). We will provide an update next week.
