Crankie Performance & Workshop
At The Jaquith Public Library
Saturday, July 18th at 1:30pm

After a short Crankie performance, Delia will teach participants how to create their own crankie scroll and a small cardboard crankie theater. A crankie is a box with a window and a scroll with drawings that is turned by a crank, like a pre-industrial movie. Music or narrative may be included. Crankie creators will be invited to perform their crankie shows at an event in August.

Delia Robinson is a visual artist, writer, researcher, and singer, who has worked in painting and mixed media, ceramics, large-scale sculpture, and storytelling in different forms including crankie shows.

Participants must be at least 12 years old. The number of participants will be limited. Please RSVP at [email protected] or 802-426-3581

Join us this Saturday for our first Farmers Market of the season!

Shop local food & craft vendors, enter the raffle for a chance to win a frozen chicken from Crabapple Homestead, spin the prize wheel for baby houseplants, and enjoy live music from Corrine Gretch!
Our first Skill Share, 10:30-12:30, will be led by Nick Seifert, bring your bikes in need of some work, and learn how to fix them! We will also be hosting a resource swap for things with wheels, think bikes, trikes, and wagons.
