Weekly Calendar!

Stop by on Wednesday from 4:30 - 5:30 pm for our weekly Lego Club! This is a great time for elementary and middle school aged kids to work on fun projects, they can build their own set, work on one of our donated sets, or work on 5 minute challenges and more from the Library's Lego books!

For this week's Children's Storytime we will be reading "XO, Exoplanet" by Deborah Underwood, "Total Solar Eclipse" by Jayme Sandberg! For our craft we will make solar system bookmarks, create your own astronaut, and a solar system coloring page!

We are now in our third week of Digital Lift Technology Classes! We are full right now but we will have another round of classes starting in October! Please call the Library or email [email protected] to inquire about the classes!

Friday's are our Creative Conversation days! This is a great time to destress from a busy week with a complementary adult coloring book and conversation led by our peer support specialist! Stop by from 11 am - 12 pm!

September Monthly Calendar for the Martindale Community Library!

Join us for "Any Book" Book Club, our adult book club where it doesn't matter what genre you like to read, stop by and tell us about your most recent book! "Any Book" Book Club is the first Friday of every month from 1 - 2 pm!

Crafter's Corner is our monthly adult crafting time! Come by on September 25th from 1 - 2 pm for a fun and easy craft, all supplies are provided by the Library and no experience is needed!

Arts and Crafts Hour is our monthly kids craft time! Stay tuned for this month's craft! All supplies are provided by the Library and no experience is needed, kids of all ages are welcome!

Lego Club is every Wednesday from 4:30 - 5:30 pm, this is a great time for elementary and middle school aged kids, they can either build their own set or work on one of our donated sets!

Children's Storytime is every Thursday from 11 am - 12 pm! The goal of Storytime is to get littles ready for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Every week we read two themed book and work on a corresponding activity!

Creative Conversations is a weekly opportunity to destress from a busy week with a complementary coloring book. Join us every Friday from 11 am - 12pm!

Today is Saturday at the library! Today we have our food bag distribution for Martindale residents with children. The library is open from 10 - 2 to pick up bags.
We only have 50 bags for Martindale families. When they are gone -- they are gone.
This is from a grant with Central Texas Community Foundation and the St. David's Foundation. They "Believe in Martindale" and the Martindale Community Library.

Our food bags from the 2026 Summer Food Security grant are packed and ready to go!

This bags are for Martindale kids and their families. Bag pick up starts at 10 am on Saturday August 29th! It is 1 plastic bag and 1 paper bag per family! There are about 50 bag pairs and we will keep handing them out until we run out!

The Library will be closed tomorrow while staff and volunteers are working on a project. The Library will be open on Saturday August 29th from 10 am - 2 pm! We will be handing out food bags starting at 10 am until we run out of bags, we are expecting to have 50 bags for Martindale kids and their families. For now it will be 1 bag per family.

The sparkle that Dolly Parton brought to the world will never be forgotten, her impact and legacy will continue through her Imagination Library.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library team has ensured their Library partners that books will continue to be shipped to children already registered.

We just started our 2nd round of technology classes but we will have a new round of classes starting October 8th! The DigitalLift Learn to Earn Program is a 6 week course, with a 1 hour class every week for the 6 weeks. This class is primarily for Seniors but any adult is able to sign up!

The Martindale Community Library will be handing out food bags this Saturday August 29th starting at 10 am until whenever we run out!

This bags are for Martindale kids and their families! The bags will be filled with breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal staples, primarily non-refrigerated items! We are planning on having 50 bags available for pick up at the Library!

These bags are available through the 2026 Summer Food Security Grant from Central Texas Community Foundation and St. David's Foundation! Thank you to both organizations for helping ensure our kids are taken care of!

All the school supplies bags have been picked up! Thank you to Save the Children US for donating 234 school supplies tote bags for the children in the Martindale and surrounding areas! Thank you to everyone who picked up a bag and have a wonderful school year!

The Martindale Community Library will continue collecting old and worn American and state flags until after Labor Day! The last day to bring a flag in for proper disposal will be Saturday September 12th!
