The Joe DiMaggio Hometown Hero Project was created to honor Joe DiMaggio and his legacy through projects such as the restoration of the Joltin' Joe, the establishment of a Joe DiMaggio Museum in Martinez, CA (his birthplace), bronze sculptures, an oral history project, a mural, and a walking tour.
