‼️ please see an important update from the city about the traffic signals on Marina Vista ‼️

Traffic Advisory: Marina Vista & Shell Avenue intersection

The traffic signal at Marina Vista Ave & Shell Ave will be in "flashing" mode beginning Thursday, May 28, 2026, to allow for necessary utility repairs in the area. Flashing mode will be in effect Thursday 5/28 through Friday 5/29, and again Monday 6/1 through Wednesday 6/3.

To minimize traffic disruption, flaggers will be directing traffic during peak commute hours. When there are no flaggers directing traffic, treat the flashing signal lights as a STOP.

Please plan accordingly and give extra time when traveling through this area, and detour when possible. We appreciate drivers’ patience and attention to directions at this intersection, especially when driving around traffic personnel.

Marina Vista & Shell Ave intersection, flashing mode:
Thursday, 5/28: 9:00 AM – 11:59 PM
Friday, 5/29: 12:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend: No flashing; normal signal operations
Monday, 6/1: 8:45 AM – 11:59 PM
Tuesday, 6/2: 12:00 AM – 11:59 PM
Wednesday, 6/3: 12:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Happy Dispatch Appreciation Week to the voices that hold it all together. 📞💛

This week we just want to give some love to the incredible people behind the headset. Our dispatchers are the calm in the chaos, the reassuring voice on someone’s worst day, and the lifeline connecting our officers and community.

They hear the panic, manage the pressure, juggle a hundred things at once, and somehow still show up with patience, compassion, and professionalism every single shift.

We see the hard work, the long hours, the quick thinking, and the heart you pour into this job. Even when the community doesn’t always see your faces, they feel the difference you make every day.

To our dispatchers: thank you for being the steady voice, the helping hand, and the glue that keeps us all moving. We appreciate you more than words can say. 💛
