🚔 Public Safety Notice – E-Bikes & Scooters 🚔

The Martins Ferry Police Department has seen an increase in complaints involving the unsafe operation of E-bikes, motorized bicycles, and electric scooters throughout the city.

Effective immediately, officers will be actively enforcing Ohio traffic laws and city ordinances related to these devices. Operators are reminded to obey all traffic signs and signals, yield the right-of-way, use required lighting equipment, and operate safely at all times.

Our goal is education, voluntary compliance, and public safety. Thank you for helping keep Martins Ferry safe for everyone.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today, the Martins Ferry Police Department pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we ask everyone to take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything to protect them.

We proudly remember our fallen heroes and extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served.

“Freedom is never free.”

Please stay safe this Memorial Day weekend.

This is a huge accomplishment, and we are proud to see his hard work and dedication pay off. We look forward to working alongside Patrolman Maddox as he begins the FTO program in the near future as a part-time officer with the City Police Department.
