Severe flooding in Indiana has displaced many Hoosiers, including Veterans and their families. Effective August 14, 2026, to support those affected, IDVA has launched the MFRF Disaster Flood Emergency (DFE) program.

The DFE delivers short‑term financial assistance to qualified individuals displaced from their homes and in need of temporary housing. The program runs through Sept. 13.

For other flood-related assistance (repairs, new permanent housing, vehicle repairs, etc.) please apply on the standard application.

NEW TAX INFO: If you already receive the disabled veteran deduction, and are 10%-90%, the auditor's office will automatically roll it over to the credit. You do not need to refile unless you are 100%, have moved, or were previously ineligible due to the assessed value cap. If you have questions, call 765-205-1614.
