Like many of you, we were devastated to hear about the passing of Dolly Parton. In 1995, Dolly started the Imagination Library in honor of her father, Robert Lee Parton. She said he was the smartest man she’d ever known and she had often wondered what else he could have done if he’d had the ability to read and write. Before his passing, her father said that the Imagination Library was the greatest thing his daughter had ever done.
Dolly’s family has requested that that donations be made to the Imagination Library as a way to honor Dolly Parton and her legacy. If you would like to honor Dolly in this way, please visit https://donate.imaginationlibrary.com/ Check the box next to “ I would like to designate this donation to a specific Imagination Library Local Program Partner” and choose “IN-Morgan County” to ensure your donation benefits children locally.

If so, come to the Morgan County Public Library on Wednesday, August 12 at 6 PM. Even if your ancestors weren't from our county, the information given will still give you clues as to where to find proof in your ancestor's home location.
