We have been working on seasonal clearing of cedar Ridge Trails for a few weeks and need your help. We are working tomorrow (Sunday) from 2-5pm to blow leaves. Please meet us at the main Stonewall Jackson Trailhead and bring a blower with an extra small bottle of fuel if you have it. We have tools and another blower on site. So far nearly all of green, red and light blue are cleared. See you there.

Hey everyone. This place is on the mend getting lots of love and attention. Light blue is open and flowing. Green was almost completed last week. We are working Thursday morning and on Sunday afternoon to continue annual heavy maintenance. If you are interested in helping, respond here or call @ 276-732-7341

Cedar Ridge is again clear of downed trees, big thanks to Tommy Smith and Steve Luke. We have created a Trail Maintence Crew and if you would like to volunteer to join, just fb message your name, phone # and email address to this FB message site and we will add you. Thanks in advance.

Lots of knobby tracks all over Cedar Ridge! Lots of use. Big shout out to Tommy Smith who cut up the downed tree on light blue. A comealong effort to flip the rootball back in its hole is coming. Be careful there of the hole. Big tree down on orange 100’ away from pink in view of pink and also a small tree down on green next to sewer pipeline (a folding hand saw will take care of it). Volunteers to remove them? Thanks to the mystery leaf blower who thoroughly cleared the outside edges of red, yellow and orange. Now with leaves blowing back on it, it’ll be great until next fall. Finally, the flagging process has begun to supply and install trail carsonites. Anyone who is interested in being a part of this including trail naming, please respond. Here is an example of what we did at Woolwine…

Cedar Ridge is in its best shape in years. We had work parties work on it three times extensively a couple of weeks ago to chop nasty roots, remove thirty downed trees, blow leaves and replace/repair all the bridges. For example, we turned this bridge into this! Check it out to hike, walk your dog, walk your husband or rip some single track. Trailhead at Stonewall Jackson Drive in Martinsville. If you are interested in lending a hand or donating a dollar to maintain it, please send me a message, [email protected]. More to come.

There is a trail clearing party tomorrow, Monday. The trees were cleared today on Sunday. We need people with blowers. Meet at the trailhead at 4:30/5 pm. The worst ones are light blue, green, dark blue, and orange. Thanks. Jim Frith 276-732-7241. Please be sure to blow off the hump off the downslope side of the path because it holds water to run in the tire path causing erosion and exposed roots and rocks.

Cedar Ridge is cleaned up and 100% blown. Please report to this site when a tree is down. Take a picture for us and where it is. Thanks

Nearly all of Cedar Ridge has been blown. Only the green loop and most of the red loop need it. Some deadfall at the top of pink near where it intersects red plus a leaner on light blue behind Linda's and two blow downs in a berm above Linda's remain to be chain sawed.
