Hello neighbors,
Alta fiber is in process of installing fiber-optic internet cable throughout the city of Marysville. While this will lead to broadened availability of even higher speed Internet for the entire community at a competitive price compared to existing services (a great benefit), there are some drawbacks in the short term.

Given this is a buried utility, inevitably, concerns will arise regarding disruptions to lawns, potential severing of Internet lines, sprinkler system damage, potentially personal property damage, etc.

If you have such a concern, the absolute best way to ensure it is heard, documented, and responded to is by calling the phone number listed & shown in the image below and selecting option 1.

Hello neighbors,
Recently, a neighbor of mine on Damascus Rd. stated concerns with vehicle speeds observed on Damascus Rd. I shared this resident’s concern and decided to request a speed study for the street.

The city conducted the study June 29th - July 6th timing. Results are posted in the attached image. Based on these results and criteria used to determine unsafe speeds, there is no recommendation to pursue any mitigation measures.
