Big news! 🎉 The Yes To Start Ups finalists were featured in the Territorial Dispatch!

This year’s program included a 7-week business training boot camp, pitch competitions, networking opportunities, and startup funding, all culminating in a Shark Tank-style pitch competition between the 10 finalists.

Now in its 3rd year, Yes To Start Ups continues to build momentum, support innovation, and help our local small businesses grow and thrive in Yuba County. 🚀

Yuba County’s version of “Shark Tank” came to a head May 7 as the top 10 finalists in the Yes to Startups program took the stage at the Five30 Event Center in Marysville to make their final pitches before a panel of local judges.

We’re excited to announce the 10 finalists for the 2026 Yes to Start Up cohort!

Over the past 7 weeks, participants have put in the work—refining their ideas, building their businesses, and delivering truly impressive pitches. Our panel of five judges had no easy task narrowing it down to just ten finalists.

After thoughtful deliberation, we’re thrilled to introduce the 10 business owners advancing to the final round, where they’ll take the stage again this Thursday to compete for the top prize.

The final pitch competition is open to the public—we hope to see you there!

Today was the first round of pitch competitions for our Yes to Start Up participants!

Five new or emerging businesses took the stage to share their vision with the judges and make their case for advancing to Round 2, and the opportunity to compete for $10,000 in seed funding 💼💰

The energy, courage, and innovation on display today was inspiring!

✨ We’re proud to support local entrepreneurs as they turn ideas into action and build the future of business in our community.

Special thanks to our judges: Jackie Sillman, Andi Crivello, Janell Willis, Don Blazer and our virtual judge Paul Bozzo!

Local businesses + government agencies = a room full of ideas, excitement, and real opportunity. 💥

Last week, Yuba County partnered with to host a Procurement Networking Fair connecting local businesses directly with agencies and contracting resources.

Entrepreneurs had the chance to ask questions, learn how to better prepare for procurement opportunities, and gain valuable, real-time insight from industry experts.

Strong turnout, great conversations, and exactly the kind of collaboration that helps move our local economy forward.

Yuba County is about to get a little more energized (and a lot more caffeinated). 🚗💙

The addition of Dutch Bros Coffee to the Feather River Shopping Center brings both energy and opportunity to the community. Known for its high-energy atmosphere and loyal following, Dutch Bros is more than just a coffee stop, it’s an experience people genuinely enjoy.

Its arrival also reflects the broader growth and investment taking shape within the shopping center, which is quickly emerging as a key retail destination for the area. New businesses, increased activity, and strong community interest are all contributing to the momentum

Yuba County continues to attract quality development, expand local amenities, and build a vibrant, connected community—one exciting opening at a time. Keep a look out - you'll be picking up your own coffee soon! 🚗💙
