This is the last chance for non-profits to get involved with the Yuba City Summer Stroll on Plumas Street.

If you are. or you know someone from, a local non-profit; the Summer Stroll is looking for Block Captains. Each non-profit has to be able to have at least 4 people on the street at all times during this event. Block Captains will be responsible for checking in vendors and making sure they get to their spots, emptying the trash cans on the street and making sure their block is clean and clear at the end of the event.

I am not going to lie, this is a lot of hard work. It does pay off though. Your non-profit will get a free booth space at the event that can be used to fund raise or hand out information. The non-profits will also receive a stipend from the event after all the figures, costs and profits are in.

If you are interested please contact Fotine Halikaskopriva at Fotine's Simply Greek Cafe on the corner of Plumas and Center Streets in Yuba City. You can also contact her on Facebook.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Charles Ford at 530-237-7670.

The Summer Stroll is June 21 so Block Captains need to have their paperwork done and turned in by this coming Monday.
