Word on the street is we may have some t-shirts to give out while we are there.

Even with rain through much of the event, we still had a great time.

Thank you to everyone who still came out to hang with us at National Night Out 2026. We had several new inflatables this year that we got great reviews from the kids. Our caricture artist was a big hit (as always) and we had great food with these three trucks TCB Street Eats and Catering, Food Truck It's a Sweet Treat Day Bakery Off My Rocker. And we got to meet several families new to the area. The temperature was about perfect and the kids seemed to love the rain. Thank you to all that came out to National Night Out 2026!

William Peters, is 15 years old was last seen at his residence in rural Belvue in north county at approximately 11:00 p.m. on August 5, 2026.

William is described as:

5'7" tall
Approximately 160 pounds
Red hair
Blue eyes

William was last seen wearing:
Blue jeans
Black sweater
Black backpack
It is unknown whether William left on foot or was picked up by a vehicle.
William does not have a cell phone.

Thank you, Lt. Leis.

This week is the last week Lt. James Leis will be working with MPD. James was selected and accepted a position with another prestigious agency.

James has been a very important part of our team and served the community dating back to 2011. We are grateful for all he has done for MPD.

If you see him out, wish him well.

James, we will miss you. But we are also excited to watch you do great things in the next chapter.

You will always be part of the MPD team.

We are accepting applications for a lieutenant position.

We are looking for a leader to be part of our command staff. We have high standards for all of our staff, with even higher standards for our leaders.

You will be a critical member of our decision making team. You will spearhead investigations, lead from the front, train and develop a squad, and make sure they have everything they need to provide great service to our community. This is a leadership position with delegated responsibilities. You will be expected to lead. And lead well.

Who’s Knocking on Doors in Marysville? It’s Zofia Malesa!

If you’ve noticed someone going door-to-door around Marysville during the day, meet Zofia, a university student from Poland, Europe, here on a summer exchange program! She has completed all the steps to be approved for her license in Marysville.

Zofia is offering educational books and learning apps for families—perfect for kids from toddlers all the way up to college prep.

This is Zofia’s first week in Marysville, and she’s excited to meet local families!
