Knowing how to store your breast milk safely gives you peace of mind and flexibility. Storing expressed milk is a great way to make sure your baby stays fed when you need to step away or rest.

As a quick rule of thumb: freshly pumped milk
- can sit on the counter for up to four hours
- stay in the fridge for up to four days
- keep in the freezer for about six to twelve months
