Does your child love to dance, spin and twirl? Check out our dance classes with instructor Ms. Mo at the Marysville Community Center! Choose between an engaging introduction to ballet and tap where students explore foundational movements in a playful and supportive atmosphere, or a parent-child session where you get to see the joy of your children firsthand as they build coordination, balance and rhythm through ballet and jazz steps. Congratulations to Emerge Studio on the grand opening of their newly renovated Pilates studio in Marysville! Starting with their home garage studio that opened earlier this year, Emerge has grown into a dedicated commercial studio located in the Marysville Mall plaza (221 State Ave. Suite 101). Mayor Jon Nehring and The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening with Co-Founders Ariana and Steven Pavilando, Emerge staff, and family and friends. Know your ride. Know the rules.
Motorized foot scooters are a fun, quick way to get around Marysville — but they come with important safety requirements designed to protect riders, pedestrians and our shared public spaces.

Before you roll, here’s what matters most:

🛑Where you can’t ride — No sidewalks, walkways, public trails, city owned property or city parks. Motorize scooters are also not allowed on State Avenue or 4th Street.

✅Where you can ride — Stick to streets posted 25 mph or below and use the bike lane when one exists.

🚓Speed rules — Never exceed the posted speed limit. Scooters may not operate above 25 mph.

👫Turning & crossing — All left turns must be made on foot. Stop, dismount and walk your scooter across in the crosswalk. Crossing streets posted above 25 mph must also be done on foot.

🚨Safety equipment — A front white light and rear red reflector/light are required when riding in the dark. Riders must wear an approved bicycle or motorcycle helmet. Scooters must have a working muffler — no loud or modified exhaust devices.

Riders 16+ may operate independently. Riders under 16 must be under direct visual supervision of a parent or guardian and must wear a properly fastened helmet. Violations may result in a warning or a traffic infraction up to $100, with additional citations depending on the situation.

This year’s Touch-A-Truck is a special one! Not only is it our 30th anniversary of the event, but we’re also pairing it with National Night Out this year. Join us for a special “Twice the Fun” celebration next Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Asbery Field.

This is a great chance to meet your local first responders and learn more about the work they do every day to keep our city safe. Kids of all ages (and kids at heart) can also climb into the driver’s seat of heavy-duty rigs and explore the equipment that keeps Marysville running. Vehicles on display will include garbage trucks, Marysville WA Police cruisers, Marysville Fire District engines, and many more. Honking horns and sounding sirens are part of the fun, though please note there will be no horns from 12 to 1 p.m.

Families can also enjoy free train rides throughout the event. Please remember to leave pets at home, and consider bringing a canned food item or toy to support the Marysville Community Food Bank.
