John 3:16 Outreach will open a Warming Shelter at First Baptist Maryville on Wednesday, January 14th, and Thursday, January 15th, at 6 pm for food, fellowship, and a warm place for the evening.

Celebrating "GIVING" everyday - Highlighting November which was filled with DOOR TO DOOR meals and kindness delivered! So many hands and hearts helped make November extremely special for our seniors in Blount County! The program feeds over 350 seniors weekly in our Home Delivered Program and Congregate Meal Programs, with the November and December months filled with many extra special events!

Veterans Day found our Smoky Mtn. Meals on Wheel Veterans receiving a delicious Super Chix meals delivered to their homes by BCCAA Board of Directors members, AmeriCorp members and SMMOW volunteer delivery driver!

Over 500 Thanksgiving Meals delivered to our Smoky Mtn. Meals on Wheels seniors! Thanks to Lucille Cassidy Fund, Maryville College Health and Wellness students, Pack/Troop 87 and our 50+ daily/weekly volunteer meals delivery drivers!

Beautiful Thanksgiving Random Acts of Flower arrangements and happy holiday "Turkey Chirp" conversations delivered to numerous seniors on Thanksgiving Day!

Over 50 years old, the Smoky Mtn. Meals on Wheels program, not only provides home delivered, delicious, nutritious, healthy, fully prepared meals for Blount County seniors, 60+yo, who have challenges in food/meal access, but also provides friendly conversations, wellness checks and socialization for those who are homebound, isolated or without many social connections.

There has been an increase in requests for seniors to join the program. SMMOW is provided to by the diligent work of our BCCAA staff, volunteers and via Older American Act funding, United Way of Blount County resources and generous donations from the community.
