If you’ve not visited lately, the Cedar Springs Alley (between J. Danforth Mercantile and Bella) has had a makeover! ✨ This beautiful passageway connecting Harper and Broadway Avenues was transformed through a partnership between the connecting property and business owners, the City of Maryville, and enhancements from the Downtown Improvement Grant over the past two years.
Located off of Cedar Springs Alley is a beautiful new business, The Landmark, with a unique new entryway that activates a previously unused area and creates a welcoming pedestrian connection between two of our major downtown streets.
Through the Downtown Improvement Grant, funding was used specifically for new signage and outdoor railings, complementing the broader improvements made through the City’s alley enhancement project completed earlier this year. Swipe to see the progression of improvements in this area from just 18 months ago! We love to see partnerships like this come to life to improve the walkability, safety and vibrancy of our downtown.
Funded through the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, the Downtown Improvement Grant helps strengthen downtown Maryville by supporting projects that preserve historic character while encouraging continued investment and economic activity.
