Congratulations to all of the girls who earned a spot on this year’s cheer team! We can’t wait to see you bring the spirit, energy, and Cougar pride this season! 🐾

We also want to recognize every girl who had the courage to try out. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, effort, and bravery you showed throughout the process. Making the team is only one part of the journey, and we hope each of you continues to work hard, grow, and keep cheering! 🩵🖤

🎉🐾 TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT, COUGAR CUBS!! 🐾🎉

We can’t wait to welcome our families to the Carpenters Elementary Back to School Bash TONIGHT from 5:00–6:30 PM! 🩵🖤

Come out and:
✏️ Meet your child’s teacher and see their classroom
🎨 Meet our Related Arts team & learn about our Dens
🍔 Grab dinner from the food trucks
⚽ Learn about clubs and teams
📱 Get help with the NEW BCS App at our Q&A sessions in the café — 5:30, 5:45, 6:00 & 6:15!

🚗 Important Student Dismissal Traffic Update

Carpenters Elementary Families,

Beginning tomorrow, we will be implementing a few updates to our student dismissal traffic pattern in an effort to improve traffic flow and help reduce congestion.

Please take a few minutes to review the attached traffic maps and dismissal procedures so that you are familiar with the updated process. If you have any questions about the procedures or your student's dismissal location, please don't hesitate to contact our front office—we are happy to help.

Our goal is to alleviate as much traffic on Huffstetler Road as possible while ensuring a safe and efficient dismissal for all students. As our student enrollment continues to grow, along with the additional traffic created by Bus 6 and Bus 14 not running in the afternoons, we are experiencing increased congestion during dismissal.

We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and cooperation as we work to make dismissal as safe and efficient as possible for everyone. Thank you for partnering with us to help ensure a smooth end to each school day!

Tomorrow, Thursday, July 30, we are excited to welcome:

📚 Grades 1–5: Students with last names L–Z
🍎 Kindergarten: Students with last names I–R

⏰ School begins at 7:45 AM
🚪 Doors open at 7:00 AM

Grades 1–5: Parents should be prepared to drop students off in the car rider line or at the front lobby. Our teachers and staff will be ready to welcome students and help them get to their classrooms.

Kindergarten: Families should use the same entrance from Registration Day. A sign will be posted outside the door, and kindergarten students may be dropped off beginning at 7:45 AM.

🚗 Dismissal will follow the same procedures and map that were provided at Registration Day.

We can’t wait to see another group of our amazing students tomorrow! Have a great first day! 🖤

🕢 School Begins: 7:45 AM

📚 Students Attending Tomorrow
• Grades 1–5: Students with last names A–K
• Kindergarten: Students with last names A–H

🚗 Arrival Information

Grades 1–5
Parents should be prepared to drop students off in the car rider line or walk them into the lobby. Students will enter through the front entrance, where teachers and staff will be available to help every child get safely to their classroom.

Kindergarten
Kindergarten students will enter through the same entrance used during Spring Registration Day. A sign will be posted outside the door to help guide families. Kindergarten students may be dropped off beginning at 7:45 AM.

🚗 Dismissal

Dismissal for all K–5 students will follow the same traffic map and procedures that were shared during Registration Day.

🚌 Important Bus Update

⚠️ Bus 6 and Bus 14 will NOT run tomorrow.
If your child normally rides either of these buses, please make arrangements for afternoon pickup in the car rider line.

We know the first day can bring lots of excitement (and a few nerves), but our staff will be throughout the building ready to welcome students and help them every step of the way. We can't wait to see our CES families tomorrow! 🩵🖤

This is a drop-by event, so stop by anytime during those hours to get ready for an amazing school year!

Friday, July 24
⏰ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Even if you registered in the spring, you still need to attend! During Registration Day, you’ll:

📚 Pick up your child’s staggered start schedule (if needed)
🚗 Receive car tags
📝 Complete any remaining paperwork
🎒 Drop off school supplies
❤️ Get everything you need for a smooth and exciting first day of Kindergarten!

Our staggered start schedule is designed to help ease your child into school by giving teachers extra time to get to know each student and make the transition as comfortable as possible.
