The Mason Police Department has received a few calls regarding person(s) doing "burnouts" in several areas of the Town. These complaints are usually late at night. If you hear or see of this activity happening near you, please call the Police line at 603 878-1111 which will bring you to Hollis Communications. Explain to them what you heard and or saw. This will give the Department some information as to day/time etc. when this is occurring. An Officer will follow up with you if no one is on duty. If you have any camera's, or your neighbors do, please check them. You can send this footage to the Police Department. This behavior is not only a nuisance, but it is criminal. Working together with our citizens, and other departments is how we can stop this type of behavior.

It is with deep sorrow that the Mason Police Department announces the death of the Chief of Police Kevin Maxwell. Chief Maxwell lost his long hard fought battle with Cancer April 11th surrounded by his extended family. Even through his sickness, Chief was always upbeat. He never lost faith in the Lord, and showed it with his courage through this battle. Chief Maxwell has served the Town of Mason for the past 14 years of dedicated police officer, supervisor and Chief. He will missed by many of you worked with him, and the people he served as a police officer. Prayers for his family as they go though this time.
