A beautiful afternoon of creativity, connection, and community! 🎨🥂

We had an absolutely wonderful time hosting our **Rooted in Love, Painted in Hope** event! It was incredibly special to bring our residents, families, and team members together for a relaxed, guided "Sip & Paint" experience. With gentle instrumental music playing and sparkling juice flowing, the room was buzzing with creativity.

At our community, we believe art should be accessible to everyone. To ensure residents of all cognitive abilities could easily and comfortably participate, we provided beautifully pre-sketched canvases featuring sunflowers and scenic landscapes. It was amazing to watch everyone bring these ready-made sketches to life with their own unique bursts of color! 🌻🖌️

More than just a fun art class, this evening was a true celebration of love and memory care, all while giving back to support our local schools.

A massive thank you to everyone who attended, painted with us, and helped make this event such a fantastic success. Our community truly shines when we are all together! 💛

Dolly Parton spent a lifetime reminding us of the power of love, kindness, and showing up for the people who matter most. In the wake of her passing, we’ve been thinking about something especially important: caregiving is part of so many families’ stories. It can be an act of love, but it can also be complicated, exhausting, and deeply personal. Because of that, she continues to remind us the importance of taking care of the caregiver. That’s why conversations about aging and caregiving matter, not just when a family reaches a moment of crisis, but long before.

At Artis, we believe care is about more than meeting physical needs. It’s about understanding the whole person, supporting families, creating connection, and helping people continue to live meaningful lives.

Dolly’s legacy reminds us how much one person can give to others. Her story also reminds us that behind every family is a very human journey of love, change, and care. We’re grateful for the reminder to keep talking about it.

Like many caregivers, Dolly Parton didn’t take care of her own health while caring for her ailing husband. That’s not unusual, even among people with resources.

For our residents, your presence can spark joy, ease anxiety, encourage conversation, and bring a sense of calm. It's why pet therapy is a cherished part of life here. A gentle nuzzle, a warm snuggle, a familiar bark – these small moments create real, meaningful connections. 🐶💙

Dolly Parton had a gift of inspiring joy and connecting on a deeply human level through her music – a gift she shared generously with us all. We mourn her loss and celebrate her extraordinary life. 🦋

Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80. The country music legend was known for songs including “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You” and “9 to 5.” She also starred in movies like ‘Steel Magnolias’ and ‘The Best Little Wh******se in Texas’.

Learning never tasted so sweet! 🍉🍋

We had an absolutely wonderful time at our monthly Power of Play event! This month's theme was "Learning," and we brought it to life with a delicious, interactive culinary workshop.

Our residents got to experience two amazing treats:

Lemon Cheesecake Rolls: A huge shoutout to our DBS, Erica, for coming up with such a yummy and cool recipe! She led a fantastic live demonstration showing us how to make these incredible treats, featuring rich cheesecake and a fresh squeeze of lemon nestled inside a glazed Hawaiian roll. 😋

Watermelon Fruit Pizzas: For our hands-on learning segment, the residents rolled up their sleeves and became the chefs! With a little help from our wonderful staff, they created their very own healthy fruit pizzas using fresh watermelon slices, a sweet yogurt spread, and beautifully placed berries. 🍓

A massive thank you to everyone who helped out with this activity and made it such a huge success. Seeing the residents learn, create, and enjoy these sweet treats together is what it is all about! 💛
