Eden Transition Alliance Eden Transition Alliance is a non-profit organization located in Mason, Michigan. Our main activity is a social group for girls and young women.

We partner with local organizations and individuals to offer activities for youth with disabilities who are in the transition to adulthood. Eden Transition Alliance is a small non-profit organization that provides activities to support youth with disabilities in transition to adulthood.

Making Books -- Gaining Skills Dots Paper Scissors is part of Eden Transition Alliance. It's a project that produces tactile pictures books for young children, especially targeting blind toddlers who have few options for learning about tactile images. The book makers include young adults with various disabilities. They are learning to use office machines (die cutter and embosser, paper cutter, coil and comb binders) to make these books....

Orange tabby cat face, ears, and paws We moved from outside of Mason, where there were about 15 houses near each other, to a "new to us" house outside of Eaton Rapids. It has about 7 acres of scrubby, rolling land with a few small trees. There are some BIG trees, pine, spruce, oak, and maple right around the house. The real woods belong to our neighbor, but we can see easily over there, watching the deer....

We'll start meeting on Friday, September 11 through December 11, at Bestsellers Books and Cafe in Mason, from 4 to 6 PM. There's lots of room for social distancing, and we'll wear masks. If the weather's nice, we can go outside. Our topics this fall will start out with "How do you know someone is really a friend?" We'll work our way through topics that help us think about what it means to be safe, to have a friend, to decide that someone isn't a good friend anymore. [ 60 more words ]
