🧠💪 Wits Workout is BACK in Deerfield Township! 🎉

Warren County Extension is excited to bring this popular program back to the Kingswood Activity Center! Wits Workout gives adults the opportunity to exercise their bodies, sharpen their minds, laugh, and socialize in a fun and welcoming environment.

Join us for this engaging 4-week program beginning Wednesday, September 2, from 10–11:15 AM. Come ready to move, think, laugh, and make new friends!

The playground at Fleckenstein Park will be closed beginning today, August 24, through Friday, August 28 while we make some exciting upgrades! 🎉 We apologize for the temporary inconvenience, but we know you’re going to LOVE the new and improved turf when the project is complete!

You're invited! Please join us for this summer's last FREE Movies in the Park night at Cottell Park this Friday, August 21.

The fun begins at 7:00 PM with family-friendly pre-show activities, including a free craft and oversized lawn games that everyone can enjoy. Then, as the sun goes down, grab your popcorn, get cozy, and settle in for the movie, Bad Guys 2, beginning at dusk!

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, pack your favorite movie snacks, and gather the whole family for an evening of outdoor fun and lasting memories!

Last Friday, friends and coworkers came together to celebrate Bill Wallace's retirement after 35 years of dedicated service to Deerfield Township. Bill spent his entire life in this community — not just working here, but raising his family here and building a name for himself here. For 21 of those years, he served as Road Foreman, becoming the crew's go-to expert on everything from salt barn management to finding a better way to get the job done. According to Public Works Director Billy Highfill, "Bill was the guy who never turned down any overtime. If there was work to be done, he was there for it." Bill trained many of the men who still make up the Service Department today, and his influence shows up daily in how this crew operates. Bill's dedication was never about recognition; it's just who he is. Congratulations, Bill, on a well-earned retirement. Deerfield Township is better because of your 35 years of service.

Get ready to turn up the volume because Michelle Robinson Band is taking the stage at District at Deerfield Park TONIGHT from 7–9 PM! 🎸🎤

Grab your friends, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and come enjoy an evening of FREE live music under the stars! 🌙✨

And of course, you can make the night even better with a cold drink or a bite to eat from one of the great District at Deerfield spots. 🍻🍔

🌧️ Mother Nature has other plans tonight! 🌧️

Unfortunately, tonight’s acoustic performance at District at Deerfield Park has been canceled due to the weather. We’re bummed, but we’d much rather keep everyone safe and dry! ☔️

The good news? The music continues next Wednesday! 🎶 We hope you’ll join us when Acoustic MD takes the stage for another evening of live music in the park.

And don’t forget—this Saturday, August 15, from 7–9 PM, the Michelle Robinson Band will be bringing the energy to District at Deerfield Park! 🎸🎤
