🐄 Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2 at 10:30 AM for our “Down on the Farm” PreK Storytime!

Storytime will be held at Masontown German Park and will include stories, activities, and farm fun. We may even have a special four-legged visitor joining us since June is Dairy Month! 🥛

If the weather looks questionable, please check our page tomorrow morning for updates, as Storytime may be moved to the library.

Tomorrow, Monday, June 1, is the final day to place orders. Orders must be turned in to the library by 5:00 PM.

If you can’t make it to the library, you may place your order over the phone by calling 724-583-7030.

Rock Solid! Rocks, Minerals & Fossils is coming to the library this summer!

Presented by the Monongahela Rockhounds, this hands-on Discovery Days program will be held June 17 at 12:00 PM.

Kids will get the chance to see and handle real rocks, minerals, and fossils while learning from local enthusiasts and collectors. Participants will also get to take home a piece of amethyst!

As part of our Unearth a Story summer theme, Discovery Days programs give kids the chance to explore dinosaurs, rocks & fossils, nature, frontier history, animals, and more through hands-on activities and special presenters.

Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with Miss Annette!

Join us for 250 U.S.A., a special three-part summer camp exploring the history of our nation, Pennsylvania, and the people and places that helped shape them.

Designed for students who have completed Kindergarten through Grade 4, this camp includes hands-on learning, history, symbols of Pennsylvania and the United States, and a field trip to Fort Necessity National Historic Site!

📅 June 29, July 2, and July 3
⏰ 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM (June 29 & July 2)
📍 Fort Necessity National Historic Site (July 3 field trip)

Kindergarten and first-grade students must be accompanied by a parent or authorized adult.

🐸 We had a great time at Frogs & Ponds Storytime today!
We shared some fun stories, made a frog-themed craft, learned about frog habitats and life cycles, played Flippin' Frogs, and even snuck in a little counting practice along the way. Most importantly, everyone had a great time learning and having fun together!
A special thank you to the EQT Foundation for sponsoring our Storytime program.

If you can’t get to the front door because of construction, our back door in the alley behind the library is propped open and ready for visitors.
Front door access may vary throughout the day depending on the construction, but we're here and happy to help. Stop in and see us!

We can’t believe June is next week! Summer Reading at the library, here we come!

👕 The first order of T-shirts is in, so keep your eyes peeled at the Memorial Day Parade…you just might spot one! 👀

We’ll be placing a second order if you’d still like one.

Final shirt orders are due at the library by 5:00 PM on June 1.

Orders will be ready well before July 4th, so you’ll have plenty of time to show off your new shirt during the Independence Day celebrations!

Beginning June 1, adults can be entered into a monthly prize drawing by reading a book and filling out a short review slip.

Each month this summer, one winner will receive:
🍽️ a $25 gift card to a local restaurant
📖 and a book about local history
