Smoke testing will begin this Friday, July 31 on Westwood, Sangston and Cumberland. Smoke testing determines whether your sewer lateral is cracked or compromised. It will also determine whether there are illegal connections such as roof drains and downspouts, also driveway drains. Do not be alarmed if you see smoke, it is mineral oil. If you see smoke, immediately notify Borough Personnel who will be in your neighborhood.
