On Tuesday the Massapequa Fire Department Rescue Company 3 along with other agencies from the area participated in a cardiac screening event for student athletes. This screening event held at the Massapequa High School and facilitated by The Mount Sinai Hospital is a great way to make sure our student athletes are ready for the seasons ahead. Thanks for the opportunity to work together!

Happy 99th Birthday to Barney Muldoon!
What an extraordinary life of service. From heroic enlisted service in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II to decades with Engine & Hose Company No. 5 (and the honorary captaincy), Barney has embodied duty, resilience, and quiet leadership. Husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and fire-service senior man; those roles alone speak volumes.
May the day be filled with family, stories, and the deep respect he’s earned. Here’s to many more healthy, joyful years. Fair winds and following seas, Honorary Captain Muldoon, and thank you for your service to both country and community!
