A little glitter helped bring an important lesson to life for Mrs. Gonzalez-Abreu’s fourth-grade students.

As the glitter moved from hand to hand and stuck to nearly everything it touched, students saw how quickly rumors can spread — and how difficult they can be to take back. The activity led to thoughtful conversations about kindness, responsible choices and the impact our words can have on others.

We’re proud of our teachers for creating hands-on learning experiences that help students grow as learners, classmates and members of our community.

The new combination was a hit — and a creative way for our food service team to introduce students to different flavors while adding nutritious ingredients to their lunch.

Judging by the smiles in the lunch line, our elementary students approved.

Thank you to our food service staff for continuing to find fun, thoughtful ways to make school meals something our students look forward to.

Trying something new can be part of a great school lunch, too!

Students at Amherst, Lake Cable, Sauder and Strausser got a new option this week: Cheesy Quesadilla Dippers served with fresh “Cowboy Caviar” salsa.

High achievement and responsible stewardship go hand in hand at Jackson Local Schools.

Our district ranks among the top 10% in Ohio for academic achievement, based on Performance Index results from state testing. At the same time, Jackson Local is the most efficient among 20 like-and-similar districts in total spending to educate students.

That means we are continuing to deliver strong outcomes for students while making responsible use of the resources our community provides.

We are proud of our students, grateful for our community’s support, and committed to making every resource count.

🏈 Let’s make more memories tonight at Robert Fife Stadium!

The Polar Bears are home for the first time this season as Jackson takes on Hudson.

Friday nights at Fife are about more than the game. They give our students opportunities to compete, perform, lead and represent Jackson — while bringing our community together to support them.

Come out, bring the energy and cheer on the Bears! 💜🐻‍❄️💛

Freshman Leadership Day gave the Class of 2030 a chance to learn more about leadership, character and each other.

The day began with Pro Football Hall of Famer Roger Wehrli, who shared his perspective on what it means to lead and make the right choices. From there, our freshmen spent time building connections and learning how leadership shows up in everyday actions.

Students also explored our Portrait of a Polar Bear and what it means to be engaged, effective communicators, problem solvers and open-minded.

One simple message summed up the day well: You never have to ask permission to do the right thing.

We are proud to give our students opportunities like this to grow not only as learners, but also as classmates, teammates and future leaders in our community. 💜🐻‍❄️💛

🏐 It’s a Federal League match night at Jackson High School!

Come out tonight and support our girls volleyball team as the Polar Bears take on Perry. Varsity action starts at 6:45.

Athletics give our students opportunities to compete, grow, represent their school and learn what it means to be part of a team. A strong crowd makes the experience even better.

Come cheer on the Bears! 💜🐻‍❄️💛

Sometimes the best moments at school happen before the first bell.

This morning, School Resource Officer Bill Adams of the Jackson Township Police Department helped one of our underclassmen football players tie his tie before the school day began.

Our student-athletes dress up on game days, and today Officer Adams earned an assist before kickoff.

It’s a simple moment, but it reflects something important: the relationships our School Resource Officers build with students go well beyond safety and security. They are part of our school community, supporting students in big and small ways every day.

That’s .
