On Monday, May 4, the Jackson Township Fire Department was proud to partner with Jackson Local Schools - Massillon, OH for their annual AP Physics egg drop challenge.

Students in Mr. Robison’s class designed and built protective contraptions to keep an egg intact after being dropped nearly 100 feet from one of our ladder trucks. This hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to apply real-world problem-solving, engineering, and physics concepts outside the classroom.

We’re happy to report that two student designs successfully protected their eggs on impact—an impressive achievement!

This marks the third year we’ve participated in this event, and it continues to be a great example of education, creativity, and community partnership coming together. We’re always proud to support opportunities that help bring learning to life for our local students.
