Jackson Township Fire Department will be conducting a CPR course on Saturday, November 14, 2026 from 9:00am-1:00pm.

The course will be held at the Jackson Township Safety Center and the cost is $60.00. There are limited spots available.

The Jackson Township Fire Department, Stark County, Ohio welcomed the Iron Resistance Foundation to lead a workout for our members.

Their team put us through a challenging session designed to push us physically while reinforcing something we already know well in the fire service: we are stronger when we work together.

The Iron Resistance Foundation is dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders through physical fitness, nutrition, mental health resources, and community. We appreciate them taking the time to invest in our members and remind us of the importance of taking care of ourselves and each other.

Our Christmas in July Food Drive was a success!

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we collected 199 bags of groceries and nearly $500 for the Jackson Food Pantry. Your donations will make a real difference. The Jackson Food Pantry provides groceries to nearly 700 people each month. In addition, the Jackson Local Schools - Massillon, OH Backpack Program provides weekend meals for approximately 250 local children each week throughout the school year.

Thank you to Buehler's for hosting the event, Santa and Mrs. Claus for spreading holiday cheer during their summer vacation, Jordan Miller - News for helping share the event with the community, and everyone who donated or volunteered to make this event possible. Together, we're helping care for our neighbors and strengthening our Jackson Township.

Seeing or smelling smoke in the area today?

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio until midnight tonight.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires is expected to adversely impact air quality today, with the Air Quality Index expected to reach the “Unhealthy” range.

Residents are encouraged to monitor air quality conditions and consider limiting prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity.
