As part of our monthly series visiting different local spots at varying days and times, we’re heading to B&K this week!

Join us this Thursday, August 27th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Grab your favorite drink or a snack, support a great local business, and come chat with us!

Perry Township is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Public Works Director to lead our Public Works Department and help shape the future of our community.

This is an exciting opportunity to:
🛣️ Oversee the maintenance and improvement of approximately 145 miles of Township roads
🌳 Lead operations for our parks, facilities, drainage infrastructure, fleet, and other public assets
🏗️ Manage capital improvement projects and pursue grant funding
🤝 Build and lead a dedicated team committed to serving our residents

We're looking for a collaborative leader who values innovation, fiscal responsibility, and exceptional public service.

💰 Salary: Approximately $90,000, depending on qualifications and experience

📢 Request for Proposals: Fasnacht Park Barn Improvements

Perry Township is now accepting proposals for improvements to the historic barn at Fasnacht Park. This project includes restoration and repair work to help preserve and maintain one of our community’s valued park structures.

The base scope of work includes:
• Roof repair and structural beam replacement
• Foundation and stone repair
• Interior flooring improvements
• General restoration work to stabilize the structure

Optional bid items may also be submitted for additional improvements and enhancements.

💰 Funding for this project includes capital grant funds, and the Township is seeking competitive, cost-effective proposals that maximize the impact of available resources.

🗓 Proposal Deadline: May 5, 2026 at 6:00 PM
📍 Proposals must be submitted to the Perry Township Fiscal Officer

🧹 Spring Clean-Up Day Update
Perry Township’s annual Spring Clean-Up Day will not be held in 2026.
In past years, the Township was able to offer this service at no cost to residents thanks to a partnership with The American Landfill in Waynesburg, which accepted collected materials free of charge. We have recently been informed that this is no longer available.
💲 As a result, the Township would incur significant costs to continue offering the program. With our current, limited road and service budget, we are not able to fund this program in 2026.
🚧 We remain focused on prioritizing essential services, including maintaining safe and reliable roads for our community as best we can within our current, limited budget.
🤝 We understand this has been a valued service for many residents and appreciate your understanding as we work to balance community needs with available resources.
