Thank you to Delaware Valley School District Police Chief, Mark Moglia. Chief Moglia led a tour of the DV Elementary School this evening for members of St. 32 and 39. Familiarization of buildings in our 1st due territory is paramount to rapid entry, evacuation, and fire suppression.
Thanks Chief, and Thank you to St. 39 for coming out as well!

Being a member of a volunteer fire department means more than running calls, helping people, fundraising, training, and public relations.
It means Family!! Here is some of our family, visiting Polar Bear Ice Cream on their last day of the season. These are the faces that do all of the above, and so much more!
If you want to be a part of our team, stop down any Thursday evening and talk you some of our group. We’d love to chat!! And maybe by the end of your visit…..you’ll have found some new family!!

This past week, the volunteers of St. 32 spent lots of time providing Fire Prevention education to our community. On Wednesday morning, 32 Eng., 32 Tower, in addition to 11 personnel spent about 4 hours with the Delaware Valley Elementary School Pre-K through 2nd grade students, going over some of our more commonly used equipment, we practiced calling 911, talked fire escapes, and let the kids go through our Tower.
Later in the day, we took both pieces of equipment to the DV High School, where we spent time with the Future First Responders club.
Thursday we went to Mtn. View School for a Touch a Truck/Fire Prevention event with St. 39 and members/units of E.P.R.P.D.
All in all, a couple of busy day!
Thank you to our members who attended these events and thank you to everyone who put these events together!
If you would like to either be a part of this kind of event as a member of our department or as a community member, please reach out to us! We’d love to come to your organization to discuss Fire Prevention and be able to showcase our equipment.

Today, members of the Matamoras Fire Department, Westfall Fire Department, and multiple fire departments from Sussex Co. NJ came together for a great day of training at the Pike County Training Center.

Members worked on fire suppression, ventilation, search/rescue operations, and throwing and positioning ground ladders to the building. It was a great opportunity for firefighters from multiple departments to train together, sharpen their skills, and learn from one another.

We had a great turnout from everyone involved today. Thank you to all the members who gave up part of their Sunday to train and better serve their communities! And thank you Westfall Fire Dept. for the invite!

Interested in becoming a firefighter? Stop by your local fire department and ask how you can join. With the number of volunteer firefighters declining nationwide, the need for volunteers is greater than ever.

All training is provided at no cost. No experience? That’s okay—we’ll help you get trained.

Help your neighbors. Serve your community. Become a volunteer firefighter.

Last night was a perfect night for our drill night. Members first reviewed our operations for chimney related fires, and then we flowed some water through our Tower, getting some newer operators valuable pump time, as well as having some of our experienced chauffeurs brushing up on their skills.
Interested in learning more about this and other topics related to the fire/EMS field? Stop down tomorrow from 9a-1p at the PAYAL games, meet our members, talk shop, pick up an application, and be the next volunteer to join our growing department!!
There’s a place for you at our table, no matter your interest! Stop down and grab your seat!!
