Aberdeen Township Municipal Offices will be CLOSED on Tuesday, June 2nd for Employee Professional Development Day and the New Jersey Primary Election.

Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Town Hall will remain open as a polling location for Districts 7, 8, 9, and 13.

Municipal offices will reopen with regular business hours on Wednesday, June 3rd.

Traffic Alert – Serious Motor Vehicle Crash Investigation

The Aberdeen Township Police Department, in conjunction with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 35 Southbound and Cliffwood Avenue.

Due to the ongoing active investigation, the New Jersey Department of Transportation has closed:

State Highway 35 Southbound at County Road
State Highway 35 Northbound in Keyport Borough

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Significant traffic delays are expected.

Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available and roadway conditions change.

May was full of important recognition weeks in Aberdeen Township!
At last week’s Council Meeting, the Mayor and Council were proud to recognize National Police Week & Peace Officers’ Memorial Day, National Public Works Week, and Emergency Medical Services Week.

Thank you to all of the police officers, EMS professionals, DPW employees, and volunteers who serve our community every day.

During EMS Week, we especially recognized Monmouth County Sheriff’s Emergency Medical Services (MedStar) and the dedicated volunteers of the Matawan-Aberdeen First Aid Squad for their continued service to Aberdeen Township.

We were also honored to welcome Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone and Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden, who joined us for the EMS proclamation.

At our last Aberdeen Township Mayor and Council proudly recognized members of the Aberdeen Township Public Safety Cadet Program for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving the community.

During the meeting, special recognition was given to cadets including Patrick Asseng, who was honored as he prepares to begin his next chapter serving our country in the United States Navy. 🇺🇸

• Secure, on-site mobile shredding
