Harvest is right around the corner and now is the time to make sure your water fire extinguishers are ready.

Combines, tractors, balers, and field equipment all face an increased risk of fire during harvest. A properly maintained fire extinguisher can make all the difference in stopping a small fire before it becomes a major loss.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟵, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭:𝟬𝟬-𝟰:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙀 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙖 𝙛𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙧𝙢 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙚.

Each extinguisher will receive a foam treatment that dramatically improves its effectiveness, including on electrical and grease fires.

Need a replacement? New silver water extinguishers can be ordered, with prices averaging around $200. Please contact SFPD for more details.

Please note:
• This service is for silver water extinguishers only.
• We are not able to service dry chemical or CO₂ extinguishers (typically the red extinguishers).

A few minutes now could save a combine, tractor, or even a field later. We encourage every farmer to take advantage of this service before harvest gets underway.
