Huge, Loud Shout Out to Flat Iron Crossroads for donating 2 gift certificates to an upcoming show for of our teachers and staff! If you haven't been to a show there yet, you must go soon! Calling all MES families! TONIGHT! Throw on your raincoat and get to Thomas Hunter Middle for some BINGO! Amazing prizes offered from awesome sponsors like Mathews Deadrise Charters, The Inn at Tabbs Creek, M&M, and D'Lynne Glass Studio! And the list of all the prizes from local restaurants is too long -Seafood Shack, Southwind, Howard Dooley, Salty Dog, Shun Xing, Farmasea, Mobjack Tavern, Mathews Grill and Deli, Mi Casa, and Short Lane just to name a few! $10 to play! The appreciation just keeps rolling this week. Thanks to the Mathews County Woman's Club and Morningstar Marinas on Gwynn's Island for donating treats and gifts! Congrats to Mrs. Horsley and Mrs. Bloomfield for winning gift cards to The Seafood Shack! And big thanks to M&M Building Supply for donating a gift card that Mrs. Clements won! Thanks for supporting Mathews Elementary!

Teacher Appreciation Week has kicked off! Thanks to the teachers & staff for all they do for our students, in & out of the classroom! We are stocking the break room with snacks, drinks & goodies! BIG thanks to the local 7-11 for donating SO MANY donuts & treats on top of the PTA efforts! And Congrats to 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Tomcany, for winning the first raffle this week. She scored a gift card to The Seafood Shack. 🍤🐟 Stay tuned as we have 4 more of these generously donated gift cards to give away later this week! 🐯🧡🖤🐯

We have the most amazing teachers at Mathew’s Elementary. Don’t forget to show these amazing teachers your love and appreciation for all they do for our kids. Below is a list of daily activities that your child is able to participate in for Teacher Appreciation Week. Also an “All about their teacher” info sheet your student can fill out. This sheet is just a suggestion – if you have any other ideas to show your teacher appreciation next week, please do so!

These flyers have also been sent to the school and should be coming home in your child's bag this week!
