At approximately 9:20 PM, Chief 7, Assistant Chief 7, and Engine 7 responded to a reported vehicle versus motorcycle collision on RT 10 at the Reese Harmon Ridge Road intersection. Upon arrival, patients were found and treated by MFD members and the Princeton Rescue Squad. On-scene personnel requested a landing zone, and Bluestone Valley Fire was requested to assist. Members from both agencies shut down RT. 10 for Health-net 5. Crews operated for approximately 2 1/2 hours between the 2 scenes before clearing. Thank you to all who responded.

Every year, rigorous testing and inspections are conducted on all our equipment to ensure its service readiness. Truck 7, with an age exceeding 30 years, has consistently passed these evaluations and delivered the expected performance.

Chief 7 and Engine 7 responded to a reported structure fire on Mt. Olive Road at approximately 3:45 PM. Upon arrival, it was determined the homeowners thought they had controlled the fire. MFD members checked walls for extension and verified the fire was fully suppressed. Units operated for about 2 hours before clearing the scene. There were no reported injuries.

On February 2, 2024, at approximately 4:51 AM, Engine 7 and Assistant Chief 7 responded to a report of smoke in a residence located on Blue Haven Road. Upon arrival, E7's crew conducted a thorough search and discovered fire conditions on the second story. Subsequently, crews initiated suppression and overhaul operations. Fortunately, the fire was confined to a single room, and no injuries were reported. The crew operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to service. Appreciation is extended to East River Fire for providing coverage during our response.

At approximately 3:40 PM, Assistant Chief 7 and Engine 7 responded to a reported structure fire in Montcalm Fire Department's 1st due area, where upon arrival, crews encountered intense fire conditions. Subsequently, MFD and other responding companies initiated an interior attack followed by overhaul operations. The crews operated for approximately 3 hours before returning to service.

Due to a heating issue, the warming center at MFD is currently unavailable. Individuals in need can still report to the firehouse, where arrangements for assistance will be made.

At approximately 5:45, Car 7 and Engine 7 responded to Pike View High School in Athens Fire Department's first due area for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, MFD units assisted with ventilation and overhaul. The crew operated for approximately an hour before returning to service.
