✨ It was a very special day at Wahluke Jr. High School! ✨

We once again had the honor of recognizing one of our amazing families with our 💙 Good Friend Award 💙. This celebration was made even more special with the presence of a few distinguished guests from Olympia!

We were joined by Lisa Wellman, chair of the state’s K-12 Education Committee, along with Heather Lewis-Lechner, one of the lead education policy writers in Olympia. 🎉

This time, we proudly recognized the family of 8th grade student Fidel Garcia-Camacho. Fidel is the son of Sandy Camacho-De La Cruz and Fidel Garcia-Coria. 👏

Fidel’s family was honored by 8th grade English teacher Alan Caro, who wanted to recognize them for raising such a hardworking young man who always goes the extra mile. 🌟

Mr. Caro praised Fidel for being incredibly responsible, respectful, and dedicated both in and out of the classroom. 📚👏

Congratulations to Fidel and his family on this well-deserved recognition! 🎊💙

Earlier this month, Wahluke Junior High School created a special evening to celebrate moms and all the amazing women who play an important role in the lives of our students 💐✨

Just before Mother’s Day weekend, families from our community gathered for a wonderful “Dinner with Mom” event 🍽️💖 More than 50 women attended alongside the young people in their lives, making it a memorable night filled with connection, laughter, and appreciation.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner together 🍴😊, and our junior high art teacher, Mrs. Mitchell, organized a fun and meaningful group art project 🎨🖌️ that everyone could complete together.
It was a beautiful evening celebrating the women in our community, and we hope every guest left feeling appreciated, honored, and loved ❤️👏

🎭💜💛💚 TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK — DAY 5 💚💛💜🎭

Today our amazing teachers enjoyed a Mardi Gras-inspired lunch featuring delicious Cajun Alfredo 🌶️🍝 and flavorful jambalaya 🍲✨!

To top off the celebration, teachers were surprised with festive masquerade masks 🎭 and a sweet slice of cake 🍰.

🌟National Junior Honor Society🌟

Yesterday, our National Junior Honor Society students had an amazing opportunity to travel to Seattle ✈️ and visit Lake Washington Institute of Technology 🎓, explore Pike Place Market 🐟🌧️, enjoy a delicious hot pot dinner 🍲, and even high-five the Seattle Sounders FC 💚⚽ as they passed through the tunnel and onto the field 🙌🏟️

What an incredible experience for students who had never traveled to Seattle, visited Pike Place Market, or attended a Sounders game! 💫 These are the kinds of opportunities that create lasting memories ❤️, broaden horizons 🌎, and inspire future goals ⭐
