Mattawa Elementary presents the first Scholastic Book Fair of the year.

All students and schools are invited.
August 24th-August 31st.

Check in with the office and they can direct you to the fair.

This is a great time to get some books and get your child excited about the new school year.

Help us reach our goal of selling 300 books.

If you stop by our Tonasket Public Library, be sure to check out the City of Tonasket local hero display!

The city is compiling a list of local heroes who provided essential support during the Sinlahekin Fire crisis. Names submitted by community members are currently on display at City Hall. ​If you would like to nominate someone who went above and beyond, please contact City Hall.

🐾 BACK TO SCHOOL FRIENDLY REMINDER 🐾
As the new school year approaches, the City of Mattawa reminds all dog owners that all dogs are required to be licensed with the City of Mattawa.

With children walking to and from school, please help keep our kids and pets safe:
🐶 License your dog
🦮 Keep your dog on a leash or safely within your property
🏠 Do not allow your dog to roam
👧 Help prevent dogs from following children to school

Under Mattawa Municipal Code (MMC) Chapter 6.04 –, violations may result in monetary fines.
What does “dog owner” mean?
In simple terms, a dog owner is any person or organization that owns, keeps, harbors, or has custody or control of a dog.

Se acerca el nuevo año escolar, la Ciudad de Mattawa recuerda a todos los dueños de perros que todos los perros deben estar registrados y tener una licencia con la Ciudad de Mattawa.

Con los niños caminando hacia y desde la escuela, por favor ayúdenos a mantener seguros a nuestros niños y mascotas:

🐶 Registre y obtenga una licencia para su perro
🦮 Mantenga a su perro con correa o de manera segura dentro de su propiedad
🏠 No permita que su perro ande suelto
👧 Ayude a evitar que los perros sigan a los niños camino a la escuela

De acuerdo con el Código Municipal de Mattawa (MMC), Capítulo 6.04, las infracciones pueden resultar en multas monetarias.
¿Qué significa “dueño de un perro”?
En términos sencillos, un dueño de un perro es cualquier persona u organización que sea propietaria, tenga, albergue, tenga bajo su custodia o tenga control sobre un perro.

If you're looking for something to do indoors to keep out of the smoke, our ukulele teacher Tim will be at the Peshastin Public Library and Cashmere Library today and tomorrow offering free individual lessons by appointment!

There are still a few spaces left at Peshastin today and several spots tomorrow at Cashmere.

♬♪ We have several lender ukuleles available for participants to take home.
