Nearly half of households across the Southeast are working hard every day and still struggling to afford basic necessities. These families are known as ALICE—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed—and they often live one unexpected expense away from crisis.

At Thompson, we know that strengthening families before a crisis occurs is one of the most effective ways to support children. Through mental health services, family support programs, foster care, kinship care, and early intervention, we're helping create stability and opportunity for families across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Read our latest blog to learn what the ALICE report reveals and why prevention-focused support matters now more than ever.

Millions of working families in NC, SC, FL, KY, and TN cannot afford basic necessities. Learn what ALICE data means for child welfare and how Thompson responds.

Every reunification represents a family finding stability, hope, and a path forward. 💜

In Seminole County, our goal is to achieve family reunification within 12 months whenever possible. While every family's journey is different, we remain committed to supporting children and caregivers until permanency is achieved.
We are incredibly proud of the work our Florida team is doing each day to support children, strengthen families, and help create lasting permanency outcomes.

These numbers reflect the impact of that work, showcasing reunification outcomes from 2025 and the progress made so far in 2026. Behind every number is a child safely reunited with family and a family taking steps toward long-term stability and success.

We’re grateful for community partners like Commission 127 who share our commitment to strengthening families and supporting successful reunifications across Florida. Together, we are helping create brighter futures by ensuring children and families have the resources, support, and connections they need to thrive.

Thank you for partnering with us and making a lasting difference in the lives of families throughout our communities. 💜

This Family Reunification Month, we celebrate the power of family connections.

After a period of transition and support from their maternal grandmother, two siblings were successfully reunified with their father in Texas. Today, they are thriving as they build meaningful relationships with their father and extended family while maintaining important connections with their mother.

Family reunification is about creating lasting connections, supporting healthy relationships, and ensuring children have the opportunity to grow surrounded by those who care for them most. 💜

Can a great operator always become a great leader? Not without the right mindset. Our CEO Will Jones broke down his formula for leadership excellence on a recent episode of the HandledIt podcast.

To scale from executing tasks to leading teams, you need to be:

* Entrepreneurial: See the bigger picture.
* Outcome-driven: Focus on the results that actually matter.
* Process-oriented: Just enough structure to keep the wheels turning without slowing things down.

Big thanks to hosts Joe Perkins (COO) and Brent Hillabrand (President and CEO), and fellow guest Ryan Tiller (VP of Distribution & Fleet Services) for an incredible conversation.
