Amari and Imani’s story shows how meaningful it can be to have someone in your corner as you grow. 💜

Amari continues to find her way with the support of a mentor who has been there through the ups and downs. Their connection is a great example of what Friends of the Children Charlotte is all about: building relationships that give children someone to turn to as they navigate life and discover who they want to become!

Through the program, professional mentors make a long-term commitment to the children they serve, offering steady support as they move through different stages of life.

That kind of commitment helps create space for children to build confidence, recognize their potential, and imagine what’s possible for their future.

Every child deserves a safe place to call home. 💜

Could that place be yours? Thompson is hosting a Foster Parent Training Cohort for anyone in the Hillsborough County area who’s ready to open their heart and home to a child in need.

📅 October 15 – December 10
🕐 Sundays: 12–3 PM | Thursdays: 6–9 PM
