🌊☀️🌺 Our Matthews Charter students absolutely shined during their performance of Moana! From the music to the acting, the talent on stage was incredible, and everyone had an amazing time celebrating all of their hard work.

Our fifth graders had an amazing time continuing our yearly tradition at Camp Thunderbird! Over the course of the trip, scholars stepped outside their comfort zones, built stronger friendships, and created memories they will never forget.

Students explored a variety of hands-on learning experiences including Nature Art, Aquatic Ecology, Pioneer Life, and Wildlife Ecology. They enjoyed canoeing on the lake, participating in team-building challenges, and competing in the always-fun Wacky Olympics. Evenings were filled with campfires, skits, Liars Club, and of course, s’mores shared with friends and teachers. From outdoor adventures to meaningful learning experiences, our scholars embraced every opportunity to learn, lead, and have fun together.

A huge shout out goes to our incredible chaperones who not only attended, but fully participated in the activities alongside our scholars. Whether they were cheering students on, joining in the games, helping during activities, or making everyone laugh during evening events, they helped create a memorable and meaningful experience for every child. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and care they poured into making Camp Thunderbird 2026 such a success! 🌲🛶🔥
