Rain or Shine 🐾 We’re Moving Indoors
A quick update for Saturday’s Dog Adoption Event with the North Fork Animal Welfare League

The event will now be held indoors at Veterans Park from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Same dogs. Same Dog Pantry. Just a little more weather-proof.
Bring gently used dog items, food, or treats if you can. All remaining donations will go directly to NFAWL to support animals in our community.
And if you don’t have anything to donate, just come by anyway.
Meet the dogs. Stay dry.
Potentially make a life-changing decision completely by accident.

We’re proud of the work we do here every day, not just on Earth Day. ☀

From shoreline protection at Bailie Beach to pollinator planting at Bay Avenue, from maintaining the fields and dog park spaces at Aldrich Park to preserving access to Peconic Bay, every part of the Mattituck Park District plays a role.

This work takes planning, maintenance, and attention over time. It includes protecting shoreline, supporting habitat, managing open space, and making sure people can safely access the water. Much of it happens behind the scenes.

Some spaces are fragile. Some are heavily used. All of them matter to both our community and the wildlife that rely on them.

Taking care of these parks and beaches means making sure they are here not just for today, but for the seasons ahead.

From all of us at the Mattituck Park District—Happy Earth Day.
