As we return to our routines, we want to take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

The City of Mattoon is partnering with the Coles County Soil and Water Conservation District to create a Lake Mattoon and Lake Paradise Watershed Committee. The purpose of this group is to have productive meetings where we work together to brainstorm and implement creative solutions to better the watershed. You do not have to live in the watershed to be a part of the committee, just a willingness to help in your capacity.

Please join us for our first meeting on June 3rd at 6 pm. We will be meeting at the Mattoon Water Treatment Plant. Helping with this meeting will be Jeff Boeckler, from Spheros Environmental. Jeff is currently working on writing the Mattoon/Paradise Watershed Plan.

Employee Spotlight: Kory Culp ✨

Kory has been part of the Clear Water Service Corp team since 2019 and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer. His role is a dynamic mix of planning for the future, answering questions, solving problems, and making sure the team has everything they need to succeed. As Kory puts it, his job is part strategist, part problem-solver, and part professional phone-answerer.. and no two days ever look the same 😉

What Kory values most about Clear Water is the people. He’s proud to work alongside a team of dedicated individuals who truly care about the communities they serve, take ownership in their work, and support one another every step of the way.

Outside of work, Kory enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and being outdoors. 🏕️

UPDATE: THIS BOIL ORDER HAS BEEN LIFTED 04/17/26 8:55 AM

A new boil order will be in effect once service is restored to 41 members. Those affected are North of Co Rd 550N on 18th Street, including Tammydale Ln and E Co Rd 600 N east of 18th Street

UPDATE: The boil order has now been lifted 4/16/26 10:30am

We have experienced a water main break south of Charleston on County Road 600N. Once it is isolated, we will notify all customers affected. Thank you for your patience!
