We are very fortunate to have such an amazing helicopter mechanic at our base! Jason goes above and beyond to ensure our aircraft is up to date with routine and required maintenance and is ready to come in and help any time of day if we discover an issue with our aircraft. He also assists other mechanics at other local bases with maintenance as well when needed. He is a great asset to our team and we are fortunate to have him as our mechanic!

Happy Birthday to our base!! AE 145 opened in Mattoon, IL on this day 8 years ago! Our base was initially located at the Coles County Airport before moving to the north side of Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital! The base also received its first flight the day it opened which was a scene flight south of Mattoon on I-57.

We want to say THANK YOU to all of the paramedics, nurses, pilots, and program directors that have helped mold our base into what it is today!

A huge thank you to Edgar County 4H for the invite to your ATV safety demonstration for your local youth. This was designed to educate youth in ATV safety, rollover safety, and Stop the Bleed to name a few. It was a great demonstration put on by the Paris Fire Department, Edgar county Sheriff's Office, Paris Police Department, and Horizon Health EMS. Great job by all!

A special thank you to Horizon EMS for communicating with our flight crew prior to arrival and ensuring a secure landing zone!
