After several months of investigating drug distribution in the area of Main Ave in Hagerstown, Maryland, Washington County Narcotics Task Force Investigators arrested Ahmadje Juan McMahan (21) of Hagerstown, Maryland.
On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, while Investigators assigned to the evening shift of the Washington County Narcotics Task Force were conducting surveillance in the area of Gateway Crossing, McMahan was observed distributing drugs. These investigators coordinated with members of the Hagerstown Police Department Crime Suppression Unit to effect an arrest of the individual.
After a short foot pursuit, Investigators apprehended McMahan. Once in custody McMahan was found to be in possession of approximately 58 grams of crack-co***ne, 136 capsules (88.6 grams) of fentanyl, various pieces of drug paraphernalia, and nearly three thousand dollars.
McMahan was transported to the Washington County Detention and charged with the following criminal offenses:
CDS Possession – Not Cannabis (co***ne)
CDS Possession with the intent to Distribute: Narcotic (co***ne)
CDS Possession – Not Cannabis (fentanyl)
CDS Possession with the intent to Distribute: Narcotic (fentanyl)
CDS Possession with the intent to Distribute: Narcotic (fentanyl/heroin mix)
CDS Possess-Large Amount-Not Cannabis (fentanyl)
McMahan remains in custody at the Washington County Detention Center. He is presumed innocent, pending the adjudication of his criminal case.
