πŸŽƒπŸ‘» Happy Halloween from the City of Mauldin πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ We hope you have a spooktacular night filled with chills, thrills and candy refills! Please remember to exercise caution while driving tonight and be on the lookout for little ghouls and goblins roaming the streets. For those who will be out trick-or-treating, here are some safety tips to keep in mind:

πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘ Stick together! Stay in groups and create a "buddy system" to make sure everyone gets home safely

🀑 Make sure costumes are bright, reflective, well-fitting and flame-resistant

πŸ’„ Test makeup on a small patch of skin to avoid allergic reactions

πŸ‘€ Look both ways when crossing streets, and use crosswalks when possible

🍬 Check your treats before eating and throw away anything unwrapped, suspicious or damaged

🏘️ Avoid dark houses – only approach homes with a porch light on

πŸ’‘ Stay on well-lit streets and use sidewalks whenever possible

πŸ”¦ Use flashlights and glowsticks for visibility

πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ¬ Business and Boo was a blast! Many thanks to everyone who came out for our spooktacular trick or treating event last Friday. Can we also take a moment to admire the AMAZING haunted pirate ship the Public Works department created for the event? Made from recycled materials including wooden pallets and cardboard boxes, and complete with octopus tentacles and a smoke machine, this spine-tingling display is one more example of how our Public Works department goes above and beyond every single day. Take a ride on the S.S. PW, if ye dare! πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈβ˜ οΈ
