Are you interested in leadership, helping others, and making a real difference? Join the Maumelle Youth Council!

If you’re a high school student in 10th grade or above and want to build leadership skills, earn volunteer hours, and share your voice in local government, the Maumelle Youth Council (MYC) is now accepting applications!

Why join MYC?

* Civic and leadership experience: You’ll receive hands-on leadership training, learn how local government works, and work with city officials.
* Senior D.C. trip opportunity: Senior members in good standing can attend the National League of Cities Conference in Washington, D.C.
* You can also apply for the $1,500 MYC-Peyton Scholarship and be recognized each year for your leadership.
* You’ll earn community service hours, join fun events like the Haunted House and Easter Egg Hunt, and gain experiences that look great on college, military, or job applications.

Who can apply?

* Maumelle residents entering 10th grade or above.
* Applicants should be committed to attending monthly meetings and participating in community events.

How to apply:

1. Pick up an application form at the Jess Odom Community Center (1100 Edgewood Drive, Maumelle, AR).
2. Fill out the application and include a short statement about why you want to join MYC.
3. Return your completed application to the Jess Odom Community Center.

🏀 Basketball is back for the first and second grades! 🏀

First and second graders in Maumelle, this is your chance to go on the court, pick up the basic skills, meet some new friends, and most importantly of all — have some fun! 🙌

It doesn't matter whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or has already developed a love for the game; this league is an excellent opportunity to build confidence, teamwork, and basketball skills in a fun, positive atmosphere.

Due to staffing shortages, the Dowell Naylor Aquatic Center will be closed for public swim Tuesday–Friday from 4:30–7:00 PM for the remainder of the season.

Labor Day- Monday, September 7th hours are 12:00 PM- 7:00 PM
