Hands-On Learning in Action at iLEAD! ✨🌎

iLEAD students had an incredible opportunity to learn real-world skills right here in our community! A huge thank you to Gus and Dustin from Juneau County Land and Water for coming out and teaching our students how to use GPS mapping technology while mapping the youth soccer fields. ⚽📍

Students didn’t just learn about mapping- they experienced it firsthand. They explored how GPS technology is used in real careers like environmental science, land management, and technology, making meaningful connections between what they learn in school and the world beyond the classroom.

Opportunities like this are what make learning at iLEAD so powerful- hands-on, relevant, and connected to our community. We are so grateful for partnerships that help bring learning to life!

👏 Thank you again, Gus and Dustin, for inspiring our students!

🌟 Happy Retirement Jane Lalk! 🌟

After 30 incredible years with the School District of Mauston, we celebrate a career filled with dedication, connection, and lasting impact.

Working in the lower elementary grades, she helped shape young learners and created countless meaningful memories along the way. Her passion for education and care for students will always be part of our district.

Ms. Lake has spent many, MANY summers supporting students through Summer School with some of our popular classes. Whether Summer School or the After School program, she was always willing to reach out to local community members to bring authentic learning experiences to students. She was always an excellent example for younger teachers just learning the profession and she would always assist in making sure they were off on their best foot.

As she begins this next chapter, we wish her the very best as she enjoys time with family, gardening, reading, scrapbooking, and traveling.

Her advice to us all: “Enjoy each day.”

💙💛 Thank you for 30 years of service. You will always be a Golden Eagle!
