Please join us in welcoming Ellie Bauer, our new Math Teacher at Olson Middle School!

Ellie attended school in Reedsburg and recently graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa. As the oldest of four children, she has three younger brothers and is excited to begin this next chapter as a member of the Olson Middle School team!

In her free time, Ellie enjoys cross-stitching and listening to audiobooks. One thing she absolutely cannot live without? Stickers! 😊 If she received a free plane ticket today, she would head to California to explore Pinnacles National Park.

Ellie is most looking forward to becoming part of the Mauston school community and working alongside a great team to support student learning.

Please join us in welcoming Alaina Garber, our new School Secretary at Grayside Elementary!

As a mom and someone who truly enjoys helping others, Alaina is excited to join a school community that means so much to local families. She looks forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff while helping make Grayside a warm and welcoming place for everyone.

Outside of work, Alaina loves spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, attending local events and car shows, and baking cookies and homemade breads. One thing she absolutely cannot live without? Coffee- no question! ☕😂

If Alaina received a free plane ticket today, she would head to Vermont to experience the beautiful fall scenery, explore the charming little towns, and enjoy the cooler weather. 🍂

Please join us in welcoming Brooklyn Gaudette, our new Special Education Aide at West Side Elementary!

Brooklyn is originally from Rockford, Illinois, and plans to continue her education to become a special education teacher. She is excited to begin this journey while gaining valuable experience supporting students at West Side.

When she isn’t working, Brooklyn enjoys shopping and spending time with her family-the one thing she absolutely cannot live without! If she received a free plane ticket today, she would be headed straight to New York! ✈️

🎉 Welcome to Mauston, Michael! 🎉

Please join us in welcoming Michael Robinson, our new fifth-grade teacher at Grayside Elementary!

Michael was born and raised in the Mojave Desert and brings previous teaching experience along with a background in economics. After taking five years away from the classroom to be a stay-at-home dad to his two daughters, ages 5 and 11, he is excited to return to teaching and make a difference in the lives of our students.

In his free time, Michael enjoys staying active, hiking, and exploring Wisconsin’s many beautiful state parks. If he received a free plane ticket today, he would travel to Rome to experience its incredible history in person!

Michael is especially looking forward to collaborating with the Grayside fifth-grade team and inspiring a love of learning in his students this year.

🎉 Welcome to Mauston, Johnny! 🎉

Please join us in welcoming Johnny Hoving, our new Physical Education Teacher at Mauston High School and Olson Middle School!

Johnny is from Wisconsin Dells and is beginning his first year teaching physical education, adaptive physical education, and health education.

Outside of school, Johnny loves watching and playing sports- especially golf, which has become a summer staple! He also recently welcomed a golden retriever puppy and has been having so much fun spending time with his new four-legged friend. 🐾

If Johnny received a free plane ticket, he would head to California for the ultimate golf trip to Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines- provided the rounds were free, of course! ⛳😂

Johnny is most excited to get to know everyone in the Mauston school community and help our students become the very best they can be.

Due to the forecasted heat index this afternoon, we are moving the start of tonight’s JV Football game from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.

Based on WIAA heat guidelines and the conditions forecasted for 5:00PM, delaying the game is the safest option for our student-athletes, coaches, and officials.

Last week was filled with training, learning, team-building, collaboration, and plenty of opportunities to connect as we prepare for another great school year!
