🌟 What a Year at iLEAD! 🌟

As we wrap up another incredible school year, we're celebrating a year filled with innovation, growth, and meaningful connections.

Through our 2-Hour Learning model, students took ownership of their learning while building independence, confidence, and real-world skills. From robotics and Shark Tank presentations to career exploration, community service, passion projects, field trips, and hands-on learning experiences, our students learned by doing every step of the way.

We are so grateful to our families, community partners, volunteers, and guest presenters who helped make these experiences possible. Most importantly, we're proud of our students for their curiosity, creativity, perseverance, and willingness to try new things.

Thank you for an amazing year, iLEAD family. Have a wonderful summer—we can't wait to see what next year brings! ❤️💙

As iLEAD wrapped up the final advisories of the year, we’re reflecting on two incredible experiences that gave our students the chance to learn in very different ways—while growing in all the same important ones.

Both of these advisories were led by Mr. Heesch and provided students with unique opportunities to explore, create, and challenge themselves.

One advisory stepped into the Shark Tank, where students pitched their own ideas with creativity, confidence, and professionalism. They shared innovative thinking, answered tough questions, and showed what it looks like to turn an idea into something real.

Our other advisory brought learning to life through Robotics, where students designed, built, tested, and competed with robots they created from the ground up. Through teamwork, strategy, problem-solving, and perseverance, they learned by doing every step of the way.

While the projects looked very different, both advisories challenged students to think critically, take risks, collaborate, and trust themselves throughout the process.

We’re incredibly proud of everything our students created, presented, built, and accomplished this year. A huge thank you to Mr. Heesch for leading these experiences and to everyone who supported our students along the way. We can’t wait to see where their ideas, skills, and creativity take them next. 👏✨

iLEAD Field Trip Highlight!

Last week our students had the amazing opportunity to visit Epic for a guided campus tour and a deeper look into the innovative work happening there every day.

After exploring campus, students enjoyed lunch at Epic before joining a special presentation led by Kyle Hauck-Mills. Kyle shared about his personal journey, his role at Epic, and the many career paths available in technology and innovation. Students also had the chance to ask questions, see a demo, and participate in an interactive AI activity together.

This was such a meaningful experience for our students and a great example of learning beyond the classroom—connecting student interests with real-world careers, technology, and future possibilities.

A huge thank you to Epic and to Kyle for welcoming us and creating such an engaging and memorable day for our students!

🌟iLEAD at the Men’s Shed!🌟

This month’s visit to the Men’s Shed was extra special! iLEAD student Jadie shared a presentation on technology safety, and it was wonderful to see her step into a leadership role and share her knowledge with the group.

Our iLEAD learners continue to make meaningful connections each month through volunteering, cooking, and spending time together. Even over spring break, they showed up ready to help and connect with others.

We’re so thankful for this partnership with the Men’s Shed and are excited to continue these visits throughout the summer!
