Farrar Schoolhouse was built as a "state of the art" structure in 1920 ... opened as a 1st through 12th grade facility in 1921. Farrar was built to consolidate five small country schoolhouses from the surrounding area. It was considered by many locals to be a decadent use of public funds costing over a million dollars. Farrar was finally closed down in 2002 ...sat empty for about 5 years until pur
