Sites Reservoir Project

Sites Reservoir Project A 21st-century water storage project — made for California's communities, farms and environment.

Sites is an innovative and modern water storage project that secures long-term water sustainability and benefits California’s economy and environment now and into the future. It goes well beyond water supply and flood protection by adding flexibility and generating a much needed new water source. Sites is a local project, being developed by a consortium of local government agencies who are motivat

ed to build local water sustainability and to do so in a way that helps the state meet its overall water system needs.

Today, the Sites Project Authority launched a competitive procurement process for a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to construct the up to $2 billion conveyance infrastructure package for the Sites Reservoir Project. These facilities will connect Sites Reservoir to the Sacramento River through existing local canals and are essential to delivering water reliability benefits to our communities, farms, and environment. Qualified firms are invited to apply by July 29.
