"Farmers affected by the recent flooding in West Virginia need to document any storm damage to their facilities, equipment and/or livestock and report it to their local Farm Service Agency, according to Commissioner of Agriculture Walt Helmick.

'The federal government sometimes provides disaster assistance when we see weather events of this magnitude,' said Commissioner Helmick. 'But it’s important that the damage is documented by the farmers and by FSA offices so we can have a good measure of the economic losses.'"
