May VFD is teaming up with the May Rodeo Association for a benefit for Tara Meisner on 8/8 from 11-2 or until sold out at Dollar General. Pulled pork sandwiches and sausage wraps. 100% proceeds go towards to Tara. For those of you that don't know Tara Meisner and Erin Lance Chambers are the managers of our Dollar General here at May. They have done so much for our VFD and partnered with us several times for our community and it is time to help in her time of need! Tara has been sick and having issues with insurance and has been unable to work.

It is a sad day to report a line of duty death right here in Brown County. North Lake Volunteer Fire Department Chief 6 Jeremy Bolduc will be greatly missed for so many reason including being a great friend to anyone in need! RIP our friend your watch has ended and we will take it from here!

Ok folks we have a neighbor and supporter of our community in need. Tara Meisner and Erin Lance Chambers have been big time supporters of the May VFD ever since Dollar General opened. Tara has had some health issues that have left her in a financial bind until she can jump through all of the hoops to get help. Tara and Lance are the managers of our Dollar General that is one of the Best in this area. Please donate whatever you can to help Tara out since she can not work at this time.

It’s all coming together!

Don’t forget — TOMORROW, April 25th is the May VFD BBQ!

We’ll be serving up some of the best BBQ in Northern Brown County, complete with all the fixings — donations only.

We’ve also got something special for the kids — they’ll get the chance to spray some water and check out the trucks, so bring the whole family!

It’s going to be a beautiful day, and we’ll have silent auction items, including handmade leather works from Kaysen King.

There will truly be something for everyone. Come out, enjoy some great food, and help support your May Volunteer Fire Department! 🚒❤️

For those of you who were not able to make it by the station on Saturday to sign up for the new Emergency Alert System, we will have all the information available on the 25th at our BBQ. We’ll be there to help get you signed up.

We will be at the May VFD Fire Station to get everyone signed up for the NEW Brown County Alert System starting at Noon tomorrow, Saturday April 11, 2026. With all the chances we are about to have for severe weather don't forget this event tomorrow. Come see us and have a snack on Commissioer Kelton, who is providing the snacks.
